Lots and lots of dirt...

We've started expanding the pond, and moving the dirt to raise the level of the yard.  Holy moly, that's a lot of dirt!!!

Who would have thought that garage doors would have been so exciting?  But they are!

Here is a first look at the carved fireplace mantle.  Apparently, it is in China.  Egads!!!

The Rock Wall

Today they started laying the rock on the outdoor fireplace.  It's going to look amazing!

And here it is finished.  It's perfect!!!

Stucco in the Courtyard

It looks soooooo much better!  The courtyard is almost done and the scaffolding cleared out.

Drywall Tape and Bedding

The next phase:  drywall tape and bedding started on Monday.

And this is how to work on the bedroom ceiling.  Yikes!

Drywall

After several delays, the drywall was scheduled to begin tomorrow.  Got a surprise call this morning at 7am - oops - they're starting today!  Mad dash down to Paris to fix some insulation but all is well.  It's great to be moving ahead!

They were hoping to have it done in two days, but it took five!  Anyway, it looks great.
